Kim Delaney, an American actress, is best known for her character the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she was awarded an Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole child of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a household worker. She grew up in a family with four other brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of being an official reporter for the court.
